Farsangi International Carnival festival
is a motley mixture of procession with masks and costumes, a bazaar and lots of joyful mood. It traditionally takes place every year in the village Bardarski Geran (Byala Slatina municipality).
For Banat Bulgarians Farsangi is a festivity time during the last Sunday before Lent, known as the Orthodox “Shrovetide.” which the celebrate for three days in a row.
Held on the initiative of the Culture Club “Saedinenie – 1923”. The event aims at gathering Banat Bulgarians from all over Bulgaria. Of course, anyone interested is welcome to become part of the enchantment of this carnival.
In 2014, the event will be held on Mach, 1, starting at 10 am in the yard of the Culture Club “Saedinenie – 1923″.
Preserving best traditions, this festival is a place where everyone can express their creativity and willingness to participate. Apart from the participants from Bardarski Geran, the event is also joined by enthusiastic groups from Gostilya, Asenovo and Tranchovitsa.
