Brass on the Beach
The summer edition of the brass festival Brazzobrazzie is on its way
From July 24 to July 26, 2014 the city of Varna will host the summer edition of Brazzobrazie – the brass festival traditionally held in Sofia. After three inspired spring editions, this cheery and exciting event is heading to the seaside, where, with the special support of the Irish whiskey Bushmills, life will become all brass.
The event will take place in Menthol Beach Bar, located at the Central Beach of Varna. The program of Brazzobrazzie on the beach includes six concerts – two for on every evening.
Groovey, jazzy and more
On July 24 (Thursday) the festival ambiance will be groovy, jazzy and funky, when the young professionals from Funky Miracle and Southwick will hit the stage. On 25 July (Friday) make sure not to confuse the central beach of Varna with that of Jamaica. If you do, blame Jahmmi Youth, Sen I, Zafayah and Roots Rocket Band. After them will perform the musicians from the charming brass orchestra Brazz ViliDJ. Its members are genuine Bushmills Brothers, great at two things – entertaining and having fun while they entertain.
Hot Balkan Rhythms
On July 26 ( Saturday) the brass party continues with hot Balkan rhythms. 13 young musicians (at the age of 8 to 16) from the gypsy orchestra Karandila Junior will take over the stage.
The summer edition of Brazzobrazzie will be closed by the Magnificent seven of AKAGA. One of the most popular Bulgarian bands will entertain the audience with a unique combination of funk, rock, dance, soul, reggae and even hip-hop.
Tickets for Brazzobrazzie cost BGN 10 (fro 1 festival day) and BGN 25 (for all the festival days) and can be purchased at Ticketportal, in the ticket centre of NDK, at the box office of the Summer Theatre in Varna or on the door in the days of the festival.
