The World Folklore comes to Burgas

The 42nd edition of the International Folklore festival in Burgas welcomes participants from all over the world


Between August 18 and August 22, 2014 will be held 42nd edition of the International Folklore Festival in Burgas (link to the event our calendar), organized by the Municipality of the city.

The colorful program of the events will include dance groups from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Cyprus, Poland, Serbia, Turkey, Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Palestine.

Traditionally IFF begins with a festive parade. Attractive groups from around the world pass along the city and enter the Summer Theatre (Burgas Open-air Theatre) in Burgas where the opening of the festival takes place, starting 8 p.m.

Exotic groups from India, Sierra Leone, Ghana and Togo have already confirmed their participation.

The IFF includes free concerts on the stage of the Summer Theatre, open stages in the neighborhoods, festive shows, scientific sessions, exhibition of traditional souvenirs, demonstration of folk crafts.
