An Outstanding Farewell Show For The More Than Outstanding Iordan Iovtchev
Born on February 24, 1973, Iordan Iovtchev is the first male gymnast to have participated in 6th consecutive Olympic Games. In his remarkable career, Iordan Iovchev has won four Olympic medals. He is also a double world champion in the competitions in Gent (2001) and Anaheim (2003), and also a double vice-champion in (2002)
On February 23, 2013, a plethora of sports celebrities from the field of gymnastics and acrobatics, will become part of the farewell show, dedicated to Iordan Iovchev.
Ahead of his 40th Jubilee, with the upcoming show, the great Bulgarian gymnast puts an end to his career. The event will be under the auspices of the Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and the Mayor of Sofia. This will be a benefit spectacle and the money raised will be used for the development of Bulgarian gymnastics. The show will last 85 minutes and will include performances by athletes, acrobats and musicians. Iordan Iovtchev himself will participate in the performance.
In addition to the star performances there will be also unique light and sound effects. Some of the performers have already been announced: Sandra Isbasha, Romania, Marian Dragulescu – Romania, Alexander Shatilov, Israel, Krasimir Dunev, Bulgaria, Encho Keryazov, Bulgaria, Anna-Maria, Bulgaria, Antonio Papazov, Bulgaria.
The dance groups of Neshka Robeva and Iliana Raeva will also be part of this great show, together with participants from the Sports Acrobatics clubs of CSKA and Lokomotiv Ruse, the Bulgarian aerobics Federation etc.
The event is organized by “24/7 Event and the concept fr the show is an idea of the Bulgarian sports journalists Vera Marinova-Atkinson.
